UB Students.

Current Students

EOP offers many services to current UB Students. EOP students are eligible to participate and utilize the Tutoring and Academic Resource Center, work with Peer Mentors, utilize Student Support Services and join in many other programs in the Cora P. Maloney College.

When you are accepted to the University at Buffalo, you will be encouraged to participate in University Experience courses. They are designed to assist first year students with their adjustment to the university and help them develop a better understanding of themselves, UB and each other. Students will have the opportunity to register for one of two alternative courses:

  • UB 101 University Experience (1 credit hour)
  • CPM 101 Freshmen Experience (2 credit hours)

Both courses emphasize reading, writing, speaking, critical thinking, library and study skills — all within the context of academic, career and personal exploration. Students gain valuable tips on how to study, take notes and manage their time more effectively. University Experience courses also introduce students to the many campus resources available at UB.
