The Academic Resource Center provides a welcoming and academic environment at UB for students who are in one of the Cora P. Maloney College (CPMC) programs. We provide an array of tutoring services, a study area, workshops and academic coaches to help CPMC students to reach their full potential. If you are not eligible for our tutoring services, you can find other UB tutoring resources on the Undergraduate Academic Advisement website.
The ARC provides:
Walk-in Tutoring: Tutors are scheduled for specific days and times for our high demand courses. Students can check the schedule which is posted by the front desk for times, days and courses.
Appointment Tutoring: Students can receive one-on-one tutoring appointments by filling out a tutor request form or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. You will then be contacted by a tutor to set up weekly sessions.
Study Group Sessions:: Our study group sessions are run by tutors and organized by course and instructor. Schedules of study groups can be found on our website or posted in the ARC.
Academic Coach are available by appointment. An academic coach can help you with time management, organization skills and study strategies based on your preferred learning styles. Appointments can be made by filling out the Academic Coach Request Form online.
The Center is open seven days a week during the academic year. Saturday and Sunday are great days to connect with a tutor!
