What is a benefit seeing a tutor? Student who are tutored do better in classes and have a higher attrition rate,

How do I make an appointment? There is a request form online that you can fill out or you can call, email, and even stop in the ARC to make an appointment. You will need at least 48 hours notice.

How do I cancel an appointment? You can cancel an appointment at least 24 hours prior to the session by either emailing the tutor directly, calling, or stopping in the ARC.

How do I use the Walk-in tutoring? Check the schedule posted at the ARC front desk. Come to the ARC on the set day, time, and subject scheduled.

What is an Academic Coach? An academic coach is a fellow student that has experience in college life. They are trained to assist you with time management, organizational skills and basic study tips. They are a great way for you to learn about other college resources. Academic coaches are available for weekly meetings that average about 30 minutes per session. You are also welcome to meet with them at selected times throughout the semester or when you just need a boost.

How do I become a tutor? There is an application online you need to complete. We go strictly by demand. You will be contacted if there is a demand for your subject matter.

What are the requirements to become a tutor? You must be at least a sophomore and have earned an A- or higher in the course you wish to tutor. You will also be required to attend tutor training workshops.

Can I just study in the ARC? Yes, there are several tables and a study area that you can use. Also, there are computers with printing available.
