University at Buffalo Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics Programs (UB-STEM)

UB STEM Programs are sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and seek to increase the number of underrepresented students pursuing science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines. If you qualify to participate, these programs provide services to improve your academic performance, retention, graduation and graduate school acceptance rates.

Programs include:

New York State STEM Incentive Program

The New York State Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC) manages a variety of financial aid programs to help students pay for college including the STEM Incentive Program. This full SUNY scholarship is for top-ranked high school students pursuing high-demand, high-tech careers and committed to working in New York State after graduation. Details and applications are available online. UB’s State College Code for undergraduates applying for HESC scholarships is 1010.

Information is subject to change without notice due to changes in federal, state and/or institutional rules and regulations. Students must complete a FAFSA every year. Students must be making satisfactory academic progress to continue to receive financial aid.

Scholarships for Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (S-STEM)

The NSF Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S-STEM) program provides funds for student scholarships.
